Als Aiakides (altgriechisch ΞαΌ°Ξ±ΞΊΞ―Ξ΄Ξ·Ο AiakΓdαΈs, lateinisch Aeacides, Plural Aiakideis) wird in der griechischen Mythologie ein Nachkomme des aiginischen KΓΆnigs Aiakos bezeichnet.
Bei Homer findet sich die Bezeichnung Aiakides nur in Bezug auf Aiakosβ Sohn Peleuscite-ref-1[1] und dessen Sohn Achilleus,cite-ref-2[2] fΓΌr seinen Urenkel Neoptolemos, den Sohn des Achilleus, ist die Bezeichnung bei Pausaniascite-ref-3[3] und Vergilcite-ref-4[4] belegt. Der Grammatiker Lysimachos nennt einen Sohn des Neoptolemos und der Andromache Aiakides.cite-ref-5[5]
Aiakosβ zweiter Sohn Telamon wird bei Apollonios von Rhodoscite-ref-6[6] und bei Quintus von Smyrnacite-ref-7[7] ein Aiakide genannt, dessen Sohn Aias bei Quintus von Smyrnacite-ref-8[8] und bei Strabon.cite-ref-9[9] FΓΌr Phokos, den dritten Sohn des Aiakos und Halbbruder des Peleus und des Telamon, ist die Bezeichnung Aeacides nur bei Ovid belegt.cite-ref-10[10]
Mehrere antike Herrscher leiteten ihr Geschlecht von den Aiakideis her, so der makedonische KΓΆnig Perseuscite-ref-11[11]cite-ref-12[12] oder der epirotische KΓΆnig Pyrrhos,cite-ref-13[13]cite-ref-14[14] dessen Geschlecht bis heute als Aiakiden bezeichnet wird.
